You may purchase coverage any time after your tour registration is confirmed. To qualify for pre-existing medical condition coverage under the Premium plan, purchase within 24 hours of your final trip payment. Generally, the sooner you buy, the sooner your cancellation coverage begins.

Plans cover trip cancellation at 100% of trip cost, trip interruption, travel delays, missed connections, medical and dental emergencies overseas, emergency transportation, baggage loss or delay, accidental death and dismemberment, and rental car damage. Exact limits depend on which plan tier you select—see the comparison table above.

Yes. Generali provides a free-look period allowing a full refund of your plan cost if cancelled within 10 days of purchase, as long as no claim has been filed and you have not departed on your trip.

Travelers with pre-existing conditions may be eligible for coverage under the Premium plan when purchased prior to or within 24 hours of final trip payment, subject to additional eligibility requirements. Refer to the Description of Coverage for complete details.

Standard cancellation coverage applies to specific covered reasons. However, the Premium plan includes an optional “Cancel for Any Reason” benefit that reimburses 60% of the penalty amount for cancellations outside the standard covered reasons. This benefit is not available to residents of New York.
